Sandra prefers to be called “San” because it is what her friends have always called her from childhood, and when used, she knows that you must be a friend.
Along with being a native of St. Louis, Missouri, graduate of Sumner High School and President of the National Honor Society, graduate of Howard University, Washington D. C., and her career and love taking her to San Francisco, Calif., she is world traveled. In 1983 she took a career change from AT&T management and started ReidSan, Incorporated with her husband, Retired MSG Reid, in El Paso County, Canutillo, TX. San donated her business suits, bought a pecan grove and a pair of jeans.
Reidsan Kennel in the Grove and Dog Training Center was built inside the pecan grove and developed dog training, boarding, breeding Bouviers, and international show dog handling. It has allowed her to fulfill her heart dream to help others as one of the founders of “Paws for Love”, a nonprofit composed of therapy animal teams. With her guidance, Reidsan also provides service dogs that improve the quality of life for individuals in need. Reidsan can brag about clients from all over the world to include several known entertainers, NBA and NFL players. The passing of clients/friends Meadowlark Lemon, The Clown Prince of Basketball, and Bob Lanier, NBA Hall of Famer, is still mourned.
Being able to volunteer and give back to the community is part of the blessing. She says that she enjoys being the gorilla glue that brings good people together for “The Greater Good.” As the 2019 to 2023 Western Area National Trends and Services chairwoman of 10 western states for the Links, Incorporated, she is very proud of the historic work done by the area in fulfilling the call to action initiatives in “Voter Registrations” and “Helping Those Experiencing Homelessness.”
Her legacy is her 2 sons, and her 3 grandchildren that allows her to be a member of the universal proud grandparents club.
